ALMAR: WITHOUT HYDROGENATED FATS SINCE 2013

The United States and hydrogenated fats
The Food and Drug Administration has decided that hydrogenated fats must disappear from the American diet as they are recognized as an unsafe food for humans.
Food companies therefore have three years to organize themselves and remove partially hydrogenated oils from production.
Why are they dangerous?
The studies on which the FDA decision is based show that a diet high in hydrogenated fats causes weight gain, heart disease and impaired memory.
What are hydrogenated fats
Hydrogenated fats are non-naturally occurring fats that are formed by adding hydrogen to liquid oils. Margarine is one of them.
They are used in industrial production because they facilitate conservation and increase the flavor of foods.
The problem with this processing is the production of trans fatty acids: those that are harmful to the body
Natural fats are better!
Natural fats: butter, olive oil or seed oil, have no harmful effects on health.
Almar and consumer health
Almar has been concerned about the health of its consumers for years: in restaurants, bars and hotels, Almar preparations are suitable for everyone.
For Almar, every person’s health must be preserved, so for years Almar has chosen not to use products that are genetically modified or that contain hydrogenated fats. Great attention is also paid to adults or children who may suffer from gluten intolerance.
