FSSC 22000 – Food safety management systems certification

FSSC 22000 is a complete certification Scheme for food and feed safety management systems, which are in compliance with the publicly available food safety management systems standard ISO 22000 ‘Requirements for any organization in the food chain’, technical specifications for sector PRPs and additional Scheme requirements.

The Scheme provides a certification model that can be used in the whole food supply chain. It can cover sectors where such a technical specification for sector PRPs has been realized. FSSC 22000 follows the food chain category description as defined in ISO/TS 22003. As the development of new technical specifications for sector PRPs is ongoing, the actual scope of the Scheme will follow these developments.
The Scheme documents contain the requirements for organizations in the food and feed supply chain to gain certification. They shall be used by the applicant organization to assess, develop, implement and improve its food and feed safety management system prior to application for certification. The requirements of the food and feed safety management system also serve as the normative documents for certification of the organization. The normative documents shall be used by the CB to assess the continuous compliance of the food and feed safety management system of the applicant organization with the required performances.

San Marco

SanMarcoAlmar signed an agreement with “DOLCIARIA of Cologna Veneta SpA” producers of “MANDORLATO”; an almond cake made along the pastry chefs tradition.
Almar is the sole distributor for Horeca Italian channel and San Marco’s MANDORLATO and MANDORELLI cakes on the export market. This time-honored brand was first founded back in 1858 along Cologna Veneta craft tradition.
San Marco MANDORLATO is part of the Venetian craft baking tradition. Their products are carefully made by selecting ingredients, the carefully kneaded dough in adherence with the traditional recipe.

News Pompadour

Almar signed an agreement with Pompadour, a subsidiary of the Italian Teekanne group, the world’s largest producer of sachet tea. Tekanne was founded in Dresden in 1882 for the distribution of teas and herbal teas for the HORECA channel. Pompadour teas come from strictly monitored crops and are packed in a twin-chamber tea bag that enhances flavor circulation during infusion. The bags are made from coarse filter paper not chemically whitened stitched with a cotton thread, no glue. This is how Pompadour keep high quality standard by saving the environment.
